General Rules (Please read through before applying):

1. You must respect the other lodgers and the leaders at all times. If problems do arise between you and another person, please try to work it out between yourselves. If that does not work, then take it to the leaders, and it will be sorted out. Disrespectful behavior of any kind will not be tolerated, and may result in a warning, suspension, or even removal from the site. I haven't had this issue come up too many times before, but I like to have it out there, just to be safe. This is for fun; respect is kind of crucial.

2. No net-speak on this site. While it may be appropriate and time-saving other places, don't use it in your application, the message board, or anywhere else on this site. If you send in an application with net-speak in it, you will receive a 're-do'. That means no '& i c u' stuff.

3. You may find a email entitled 'Application Error' sent to you shortly after you send in an application. This a 're-do'. If you receive one of these, please be aware that it is not personal, I don't dislike you, and I'm not picking on you. We strive for originality and creativity in this lodging house, especially with the characters. We do not, however, strive for those things in our grammar and spelling. You will most likely receive a 're-do' if you do any of the following:

-Create a problematic 'Mary Sue' character. If you don't know what a Mary Sue is, it's basically a girl (or a guy - Gary Stu, maybe?) who's just too perfect to be true, or too cliche. We have no problems with pretty female characters, but if your character is 'drop-dead gorgeous' and 'all the boys like you', just re-think your character.

-Use netspeak (see rule 2).

-Use 90isms. Some can slide, but if I see a lot of 'hang out' or 'that's whack', you're getting a 're-do'.

-Fill out an in-character question out of character. Common Sense.

-Have a lot of spelling/grammar errors. Spell check is available. This is important, because I need to know that you won't struggle with proper grammar on the message board. Please use proper capitalization, punctuation and spelling in the application.

Or anything else I find unsatisfactory. I'll explain your individual circumstance in the 're-do' email. Most likely it's just a question or two that needs fixing, and I'll be sure to tell you. As long as we have open spots, I will most likely not turn you away when you apply, as long as you do your 're-do' if you receive one (or two, or however many it takes). I want you to get in as much as you do! Just work with me, and I'll work with you.

4. There are 19 available female spots, and 18 available male spots, which means that we're going to fill up pretty fast, and once we're full, we're full. So, if you're taking up a spot, please be sure to be active. We understand that life comes up, and you're hardly going to cancel your vacation so that you can remain active in this lodging house (I sure won't!). However, please keep in contact and let me know if you're going to be away. And don't forget to do the monthly check-in (unless you've pre-arranged with me).

5. Also, because of lack of space for characters, we have a character limit of 1 girl, and 1 boy character, per person. This may change at a later date, but for now, that's it.

5. Any stories written for this lodging house can be any rating, just as long as it's properly labeled.

6. Please try and keep cursing out of as much of your profile as possible. Profiles can be viewed by all audiences, so we'd like to keep the vulgar language and such down to a minimum.

7. Please make sure and check out the FAQ before filling out your profile, just to make sure to avoid any application errors that are addressed in it.
