ARTICLE XII
-----------------------------------INSURANCE






The Mid-Palatinate Chapter is covered by two blanket insurance policies purchased by the National Headquarters.  The Fidelity & Casualty Company of New York, policy number L1-08-12-71, covering the Association of the United States Army, the European Department and member chapters.  Provides bodily injury, property damage, personal injury and limited non-owned and hired, auto liability coverage�s all up to $1,000,000.00


Section 1.  Chapters are covered along with the National Association in a broad public liability policy which covers the full range of normal chapter events.  A coverage memorandum is normally issued each year in the summer with further details.  Chapter Treasurers , must refer to the most recent edition to be sure that any planned event is covered by the chapter insurance policy or that other insurance coverage is obtained.


Section 2.  Chapters are also included on a blanket association professional liability policy for which  a nominal premium is assessed.  The purpose of the professional liability coverage is to protect chapter officers, directors, committee chairperson�s etc. for personal responsibility as a result of their official actions as chapter officials.
