On September 15 of 1995, a seiyuu unit called "E.M.U" was formed. They were the seiyuu of M from the popular radio drama, Sotsugyou M. The unit consisted of Midorikawa Hikaru, Okiayu Ryoutarou, Hayashi Nobutoshi (now known as Canna Nobutoshi), Ishikawa Hideo, and Sakaguchi Daisuke. They became instantly popular and held their first live event at Akasaka Blitz, titled E.M.U First Live. There they performed songs from their first album, Girl, a drama, and an awesome tribute to Rock 'n Roll. Their second tour, Equal Live Tour, was quoted to have been sold out in half an hour.
