It is the intention of A Witch's World to share with you all aspects of the Craft, and poetry is most definitely an important part of that. While the true meaning of most poetry must be felt within the heart, it can also be humorous at times, and can be presented in many different forms. Whether it takes the shape of rhyme or verse, it communicates the emotion of its creator.

It is this conveyance of emotion that makes poetry such a large part of the Craft. Emotion is a key ingredient to successful magick, regardless of whether the magick takes the form of prayer or spell. The stronger you feel an emotion, the more effect it has on those around you. That's a fact of life, not just an asset of poetry or magick.

The poetry that you will find in A Witch's World is not meant to take the position of use for spells although, in some cases, you may find that they can be adapted as such. But before taking this approach of their use,
please be very sure that you understand the true meaning behind the words.
We would hate for your magick to backfire because you didn't take the time to truely understand what the author was saying.
