The Teal Monsters continued their regular season dominance by easily defeating the Dinkster cursed Bull Terriers. Now commonly know as the Bull Dink Terriers, their lopsided loss would have easily been reversed with the addition of Terry THE Law and Jim Posterboy Quan in the line-up. However, to offset the no show of the two Dink Terriers was the obvious absence of Monster superstar Z-man. Rumours have been swirling of the on going conflict between Z-man and teammate Wayne Silverfish Niou as to who is the real superstar of the Monster's organization. Both have been spotted in shoving matches only to be broken up by autograph seeking fans. "That bastard Silverfish Niou should really be called Saltyfish because his ass sure stinks like it" blasted a fuming Z-man. More updates to this battle will be forthcoming.
The Monsters' opened the scoring on a lucky goal by sub sensation Ray Chaboyer flipping the puck like a tossed coin over a sprawling Stonewall. After being shutout of the scoring last game, Wayne Silverfish Niou made it 2-0 for the Monsters in Silverfish like fashion weaving, twisting and turning and finally blasting a low shot glove side past a crumbling Stonewall. "I may twist and weave like a Silverfish but I'd rather be called Saltyfish because I really love the taste of it especially on minced pork" flubbed a shifty Silverfish Niou.
The Bull Dinks made it respectable for for a brief 10 minutes on Bailey Lafarge Lam's amazing breakaway goal blasting the puck five hole past a spread eagle Marko. "I actually wasn't going to go five hole but at the last minute my hands started to cement up last minute so I basically just pushed the puck through Marko's massive open hole" stated an embarrassed Lafarge Lam. By the middle of the first period the Monsters proved last years entry into the playoffs was no fluke with two straight goals by that powerhouse forward Wai Cheung who scored all of 5 goals last season. "When you're playing with your childhood idol Wayne Silverfish Niou, anyone can score two goals a game" blasted the very choppy skating Cheung. The Dink Terriers attempted a comeback with a second period goal by last season's MHL Hart Trophy winner Gerry The Germ Lee-Kwen who has been looking a little lack luster this season. "Shit I'm not worried about not winning the scoring title again this season, I'm going to get all my point the last game of the season" snapped a very confident Germ.
The Monsters rounded out the scoring on single markers by former Netminder Stewart Sully Shui, child idol Super Grover Wong and the smelly Silverfish Niou. Next up against the Bull Dinks are those wilting White Carnations who were handed an ego blowing loss at the hands of the mighty Red Machine.
