| Hold Me Tight, Don't Take Me For Granted People went to work that morning Climbed their stairs Prepared to fly Two building ceased to tower above us Once two were there Now we cry Johnnys on the phone, hes sobbing Did my daddy have to die Did my daddy have to die? Skies were blue And birds were singing People sang with their stereo Satan filled the hearts of men Nobody could have known It was their time to go. Anna hugs her brother tightly Mommy will be back you know Mommy will be back you know Now the skies are blue again But nobody notices that theyre there And now the air is calm again But nobody here seem to care Everybodys eyes are focused On the target, straight ahead How do we retaliate? These mysterious men who left us dead Though through the darkness New light came And through the grime The cleansing rain And through the bitterness Lasting love And through the hardships God, above We hold together We stand tall Well stick together Through it all And raise our heads up As we say We love our country God bless the U.S.A |

| This was written in order to remember and to recognize that life is precious, love is ever present. And that our minds and our hearts will forever be with those who have died, and those who will die, fighting for freedom. Hold me tight... never take me for granted. In memory of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. The WTC and the Pentagon, and all who worked within these particular buildings. For the firefighters, the police and rescue teams, and for the families who fight to continue their lives. In memory of love and of overcoming hate. In memory of faith and of hope for the future. In memory of lives lost, and those who had not yet had a chance to begin. I memory of light, for darkness does not overcome. Darkness will not overcome. God lets us know: HIS light will ALWAYS shine thorugh dispare and anger and hurt. And HIS love will comfort us through every ache, and catch every tear. Stand strong, stand tall America! For this is what we are! And will continue to be. With love, and heart felt words, Samantha K. Powell |
