Mission Statement |

|
We are a group of midlife gay/bisexual men, mutually empowered to collaboratively share and create an authentic, healthy new community. We take a proactive, positive approach to develop friendships and to maximize the quality of our lives. Our members define the word "midlife" as they wish, but most are in their 40s and 50s with some in their 60s. Programs MGM offers a variety of programs and events to help both HIV negative and positive midlife gay/bisexual men deal with the landscape of mid-life and issues of loss, isolation, depression, substance abuse, self-esteem, relationships, community, legacy, mortality, and spirituality. The goal of each program is to help midlifers make healthy choices. MGM social programs include monthly socials, seasonal balls, brunches & dinners for foodies, day trips out of town, and exciting volunteer opportunities. Educational programs include workshops on computers, finance, and health which help participants develop new skills. MGM’s Computer Project provides a free computer with customized software to low-income midlifers. Support programs include a free five-week Mid-Life Support Group with an optional three additional weeks for both HIV negative and positive midlife men. MGM also offers Positive Connections, a free support group for the unique issues of HIV positive guys. Email us and ask to be sent our free monthly Calendar of Events. © Midlife Gay Men™ 2002-2005 All Rights Reserved |
