| Upcoming Event: Spaghetti Day April 29th Lunch 11:30a.m.-1:30p.m. Dinner 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. First Church Congregational 190 Court Street Tickets Available at the Door - $8.00 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Kiwanis Community Projects Include: Bicycle Safety Day Issuing "free"helmets and teaching bicycle safety to children. Warm The Children Helping needy families buy "new" warm chlidren clothing. Salvation Army Bell Ringing Raising donated funds for the needy. Christmas in April Volunteering help to repair/update a needy owners home. Kiwanis Key Club Support Middletown High School Students form a club, learn about and perform commnunity service. Kiwanis Circle K Club Support Wesleyan college students form a club and participate in community service. Holiday Gift Baskets Putting together holiday food baskets (Thanksgiving and Christmas), a complete meal for a needy family and delivering it to them in time for their holiday enjoyment. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Getting there is a group effort, with lots of fun and many rewards ! We are able to achieve these goals by holding fund-raisers, such as: Spaghetti Day (In the spring) (we sell tickets and serve lunch and dinner ). Golf Tournament (a one day event in September) Kiwanis Peanuts and Mixed Nuts Sale. *********************************** |
