| John "Jack" Albert Dawson was born June 24, 1871. He married Ona Eudora Hathaway in 1897, daughter of Amasa Hathaway and Mary Crabtree. She was born March 11, 1874 and died March 1920 in Corvallis, Benton Co., OR. At the time of his father's death, Jack was 7 years old. Jack and Ona E. had he following children in Oregon: |

| In the spring of 1920 an influenza epidemic swept through Oregon. This whole family was taken ill. At the time, their oldest daughter, Ona Alberta was married to Henry Conn, had one child, age 2 and 7 months pregnant with her second. John Albert, Ona Eudora, Fred and Irma died. Ona Alberta recovered to find her family gone, and Johnny, Jr orphaned. Ona A. attributed her recovery to an unsatisable craving to oranges. |

| Ona Alberta Dawson was born September 4, 1898 in Seaside, Clapsop Co., OR and died February 12, 1982 in Yakima, Yakima Co., WA. Ona married David Grenot Conn July 28, 1916 in Douglas Co., OR, the son of James Conn and Sarah Denny Fred Dawson Irma Dawson John Dawson, Jr. |
