Thailand enjoys a more-or-less free press, although there are some sensitive topics, such as the Royal Family, which are handled with caution. There are several English-language newspapers. Even if you don't read Thai, the front pages of the popular vernacular newspapers, with their spectacular photos of murder and accident victims, make a big impression!
