plastic scale modeling
Plastic scale modeling has given me a good sense of details, something I have used in my other hobbies. It is matter of fact very seldom you are building a large R/C model with that deep level of details as a 1:72 scale plastic model. Im building all kind of scales. The largest scale I have been into when it comes to plastic models is a Volvo F16 Globetrotter truck in scale 1:8 from Poscher Italy. The tiniest model has been a JAS 39 Gripen in scale 1:144 (except for model railroad kits in scale 1:220).

The great challenge in plastic modeling is to give the small models an impression of a downscaled real thing. When building a model car, the body paintwork is the most important part and when it comes to aircrafts, the weathering is a very important part. Things that differ a high or bad skilled result are actually the paitwork. As many believes it is not always easier to build a large-scale model. This because they often requires more details.
