Jesus Falls
V. We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You.
R. Because by Your Holy Cross You have redeemed the world.
You have lost a lot of blood, Christ, because of the mean treatment You received. You are weak and almost ready to faint from the pain You have--and You fall. Nobody seems ready to help You, either. The soldiers push You, kick You, and yell at You to get up and keep going. You fall from weakness but somehow You do find the strength to get up and keep going. You continue what You started.
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And also with you.
Let us pray:
O God, I know there are a lot of times that I begin to do things and then get tired of them. Or else, I do not do them too well and I want to forget about them. Sometimes, I get hollered at in school because I do not pay attention to what I should be doing. Help me, God, to be like Your Son--help me to keep at the things I started and to complete them as best as I can. Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
