Jesus Accepts His Cross
V. We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You.
R. Because by Your Holy Cross You have redeemed the world.
As You place the cross over Your shoulder, You know for certain that it will not be taken away until You are nailed to it on Calvary. But you take it just the same. Crosses are problems and nobody likes them. Crosses are not happy things but they are a part of our human life. I do not think I can promise You that I will look for them during my life, but I do promise that I will try to carry them when You send them to me.
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And also with you.
Let us pray:
O God, my problems may seem small to a lot of grown-ups, but You know that they are big as far as I am concerned. These crosses are not easy but when I am about to complain about them, help me to remember Christ and His Cross. Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
