December 2, 1999: Feeling Frustrated!! Well, we have ALL our paperwork done EXCEPT for the I171 form. It's been six weeks since we had our fingerprints done. We were told we would have the INS approval form by six weeks and it's still not here. We're still shooting to have it all to the agency for translation this month but unless we can get the INS form back, it doesn't look like we're going to make it. |

Fortunately, we live only a couple of hours from both the state capital and New York City (Chinese Embassy) so we are going to hand carry our dossier to each for certification and authentication. But we can't do that until we get the INS form back. So we wait. |

Well, that's my update for now. I hope to have a better update next time with ALL of our forms received, notarized, certified, and authenticated and on their way to translation. |
