A little history about me and my interest in antique engines.

I have been collecting Hit & Miss gasoline engine since 1980. I first became interested in these type engines when I was about sixteen years old. That would have been 1971. At the local county fair and old gentleman used to display some every year. He used to let me and my buddy turn the flywheels and start them( That got me hooked ). I remember he had a 1 1/2 h.p. Novo, a 5 h.p. Economy, and a Fairbanks Morse. I can't remember the horsepower, maybe a 1 1/2 or 2.

I've lately started collecting original literature for these same type engines. The prices have jumped up so much on the engines, I can hardly afford to buy anymore, and it has taken a lot of the fun from the hobby and made more a business out of it. I can still afford to buy literature for these same engines and it is as much fun locating and buying as it was with the engines.
