Ailing Castro Skips Parade Havana- Cuban Leader Fidel Castro's health and his role in the nations's future remained a mystrey after he failed to appear at a massavive parade celebrating International Workers Day. It was only the 3rd time in almost 5 decades that Castro has missed the May Day Parade festivites. Cartro now 80 years old has not appeared in public since July 2006 when he turned over power to his brother Raul Castro and told the Cuban people that he was undergoing treatment for a serious health problem.

Fidel Castro whose now 79 years old and in failing health. Is not expected to live past the year 2007, and has an estimated personal worth of over $900,000,000-U.S. Dollars that's nine hundred million dollars.

August 1st,2006 Raul Castro, stepped in for Fidel Castro whose now 79 years old and in failing health. Fidel Castro has been dictator since 1959.
