At least five convicted sex offenders in Florida's Miami-Dade County have their "Official" Home in a make shift encampment underneath a bridge on Julia Tuttle Causeway to Miami Beach, with the blessing of the state Department of Corrections, according to an April 2007 report by CNN. Offcials say that the state's tough zoning law for sex offenders bars the offenders from most neighborhoods in the county because they are too close to where children congregate and some sex offenders maintain regular homes even though they can not live in them because of the zoning law. The causeway camp, officals say, at least keeps the men visible to probation officers.

Miami, boasts of it's Latino population. there are more Puerto Ricans in Miami than the entire country of Puerto Rico, More Mexicans in Miami anywhere in the entire world except for Mexico City, More Haitians than anyone can count but that's another story all together. More convicted Cuban criminals than in Cuba. Most shop windows in the nicer part of town DO HAVE a sign showing that reads: "We Speak English Here"
