Also, those of you JAC memebers who are active in helpin out the club, or those of you who would like to start can check this out and see if there are any titles which we don't have that you would like to lend to us to burn and add. We'd GREATLY appreciate it if you did ^_^. We also appreciate and review submissions you can supply us with.

~ Ratings: Pretty damn sucky

Meh - it's been over played and needs a lot of the elements such as originality, character development, or a decent plot to pull it outta the hole

Pretty good. It's nothing extremely special, but enjoyable none the less.

Very good. It's interesting if not completely original and the plot and characterization are well developed.

YOU MUST READ OR DIE A HORRIBLE FLAMING DEATH

Don't you worry your pretty little heads. you will most likely NEVER find 2 stars in our library and NEVER EVER find one. I'll protect and shield your virgin eyes from all the horrid crap out there. The worst found in our library is probably language and mild nudity. Absolutely NO hentai, so dun even ask -_-+

Cowboy Bebop Vol. 1 ~

Spike, Jet Faye and Ed - Cowboys on the new frontier. Together this band of interplanetary bounty hunters takes on the jobs that anyone in their right mind would turn down. Based on the smash-hit anime series, Cowboy Bebop Vol. 1 features four all-new comic misadventures of the Bebop crew as they prove that they'll do anything for cold, hard cash.

Catagory: Futuristic Action

Personal Rating:

~ This comic is a must for any die hard fans of the Cowboy Bebop anime series. It's kinda funky that they would base the comic ON the anime, because it's the other way around, so i rated it kind of differently than the other comics. Personally, i liked the anime better. Yoko Kanno does an AMAZING job on the musical score and you just don't get the same feeling from the manga. The manga itself, though, is pretty good. the beginning story is  bit freaky with Spike aiding a transvestite with a 60 million woolong bounty on his head, who got busted for small time shop-lifting, escape prison so they could collect the bounty. HAHAHA, Spike's body cavity search left me busting up. ^o^

Island Vol. 1 ~

When a serial killer is the lesser of the two evils...

Miho came to Cheju Island looking for a new life, and that's exactly what she found. Haunted by demons, only one man stands between her and death--a relentless, nameless killer who may be an even greater monster. As she and her protector slowly unravel the truth behind the curses of Cheju Island, they spiral further into the darkness of a Hell on Earth, where no one is innocent, and all are prey.

Catagory: Shounen horror

Personal Rating:

~ Wow, totally not what i expected. the characters are original as well as the plot and the style of the art is very well done and unique, seeing as though this is a korean manga. I really really enjoyed it. The main characters are cool and achingly mysterious, making strain to judge which side they're really on. Miho is a refreshingly independent woman, with questionable morals and the nameless killer is intensely intriguing who draws you into his character, leaving you to wonder whether his next move will be to save you or stab you. If you're a bit squimish i suggest you stay away from this one, but if you enjoy a good horror with a good plot, you really wanna pick this up.

Mars Vol. 1 ~

Star Crossed Lovers

Kira and Rei might as well be from different planets. She's a shy art student, afraid of boys and hated by her classmates, he's a rebellious motorcycle racer with girls dropping left and right just to talk to him. Their lives become intertwined when Kira asks Rei to model for her and, to everyone's surprise, he agrees. As these two battle their personal deomons and pressures of their classmates, they learn to not only love each other, but themselves.

Catagory: Shoujo romance

Personal Rating:

~ oh man, this was good stuff. The genre is high school romance. The art is standard if not pretty. the story is sweet and the character development is interesting. we're definitely getting future volumes when they come out. very new, to US standards and i recommend it highly to those of you who liked things like peach girl, karekano, and such of the like.

Miracle Girls Vol. 1,2,3 ~

Identical twins Mika and Toni may look alike, but they lead completely different lives. They go to different schools, have different sets of friends, and have totally different interests. The one thing they do share is a secret - they possess: psychic powers!

Catagory: Shoujo

Personal Rating:

~ I thought this was really cute. Standard girl's comic and a treat for the classic shoujo lover, this manga is really light and good for something just to read and enjoy without wanting to tear your hair out with all the mental angst and love dementagons happening in so many of the other shoujo mangas. It starts out with a bit of Ulsen Twins mischief, but once you get into the actual story, it's pretty interesting. The girls can teleport and talk to each other using mental telepathy. Pretty crazy, if you think about it, but it fits perfectly in the story and isn't anything so outrageous that you wanna accuse the manga-ka of smoking a little something...

Sorcerer Hunters Vol. 1 ~

It's a merciless world where sorcerers wielding magic are in complete control. In the Spooner Continent, powerless commoners spend each day tyrannized by these sorcerers. To put an end to the never-ending series of malevolence, Big Mama sends out an elite group of warriors - the Sorcerer Hunters. Fighting for human survival are Carrot Glasé, Marron Glasé, Chocolat Misu, Tira Misu and Gateau Mocha. While Big Mama wants to defend the world without total destruction, she is opposed by Saha Torte who wants to end the chaos by more radical means.

Catagory: Fantasy action comedy

Personal Rating:

~ hahaha, this was so funny. Carrot's a total perv and Marron's a bishounen with gorgeously long luxurious hair *prrrow*. Chocolat and Tira are hilarious when they turn into BDSM babes and whip Carrot back into his human form when he absorbs magic. READ IT. i wanna get the anime for the club ^_~
