| Class Home > Reunion Recap |
Some 125 classmates and companions returned to campus
in May 2001 to make our 25th reunion a most memorable
one. The weekend was highlighted by Saturday's Alumnae
Association meeting, at which we not only heard
Association President (and classmate) Karen Hendricks
speak but during which we learned that our class had
surpassed its reunion gift goal. The Class of '76
cleaned up on awards, most notably for highest-ever
25th reunion class gift: an astounding $588,178.
But what those who couldn't make it really missed was
seeing their classmates and friends again, having a
social hour with Professors Sally Montgomery, Bill
McFeely, and Joe Ellis, reading about classmates in
the Reunion Class Booklet, seeing and buying a copy of
the remarkable Class of '76 video, looking at class
scrapbooks, wearing the swank Bali swim wraps for the
alumnae parade, trying to figure out what to do with
the chalk in the goody bags, having a blast getting to
the class dinner in the pouring rain, and hiding the
"surprise" balloons. It was truly a memorable time.
