We created BeluEnji with the intent to provide a unique platform for anyone who loves Ethiopian music. We want to evolve as many of the old records that exist on old tapes and records and make it availabel to you online. As the name indidcates we want you music lovers singing along by registering and creating your customized list of songs from our wide array of artists.

The need to build a platform with a sole focus on Ethiopian music arises from the fact that many of us have tried to look for a specific song and found that Youtube or other sites didn't give us results. This is our beta version and doesn't have the database and other webservices built in yet, but in the future we will make sure to create a wide ranging database from oldies to the most recent music releases, we make it our job to curb your interest for music by never returning a blank page to your search queries on our site. For the time being we have included three samples of music from the famous singers Tilahun Gessesse, Ejigayehu Shibabaw and Mohamud Ahmed along with their pictures so that users can easily click on the images to listen.

The color choice was made to have the background darker than the rest and the items on each page to have a bright color so they pop out and the users can easily see what the content and purpose of each page is. On the home page we have the logo which consists of the "kirar", an ethiopian traditional insturment and the name BELUENJI. We wanted our logo to reflect two things the name of our company and the instrument so that people will immediately think of music when they see it. Abebech Derara's song "beluenji" is what inspired us to come up with the name for our site so we placed her picture at the center of the home page with a "let's get rockin" caption.

The site is at this point very simple to use and users will have every information they need at hand, registration and login only require filling two simple forms and if there are any questions regarding on how to use the website or registration issues users can simply refer to our help page. We have included the most commonly asked questions there and if there is any other issue users might face they can simply shoot us an email and get immediate assistance. In the future we hope to expand our site so that it includes a wide database of artists and songs from all over Ethiopia. We also intend to build a community by involving musicians and other professionals in our company to organize local events and online live entertainment on our platform.
