SATURDAY:
THE DAY OF PREPARATION
Matthew 27: 45-66
And now when Evening had
come,
Joseph of Arimathea went
to Pilate and
Asked for the Body of Jesus.
Pilate commanded the Body
be given to him.
When Joseph had taken the
Body,
He Wrapped Jesus in a clean
linen Cloth.
He laid Jesus in his new
Tomb,
Which he had Hewn out of
the Rock.
And he rolled a large STONE
against the Door
of the Tomb and Departed.
The Day Jesus was Crucified,
was the Preparation
Day and the Sabbath drew near.
And the women who had come
with Joseph from Galilee,
Followed after and They
observed the Tomb
and how His
Body was Laid.

Pilate sets a Guard
On the next day after "The
Preparation,"
The Chief Priests and Pharisees
gathered before Pilate.
Saying, "Sir, we remember
that Jesus said,
"After 3 Days, I Will Rise."
Therefore, Command the Tomb
be made Secure,
least His Disciples come
and Steal Him Away.
Pilate said, "You have a
Guard,
Make it as Secure as you
can."
