Information about smoking

smoking Smoking is a practice in which a substance is burned and the resulting smoke
breathed in to be tasted and absorbed into the bloodstream.
It usually takes the form of a cigarette containing many substances of which can
be deadly to your body.
Some people use the dried leaves of a tabacco plant rolled into a small square of
rice paper to create a small, round cylinder into a cigarette.
It began in 5000BC where they used burnt incense in religious rituals.
Since then, different forms of cigarettes have taken place and becoming more
and more deadly.
A 2007 report states that, each year, about 4.9 million people worldwide die
as a result of smoking.

What's inside a cigarette

Once you start, It's hard to stop

Smoking is a hard habit to break because tobacco contains nicotine, which is highly addictive. Like heroin or other addictive drugs,
the body and mind quickly become so used to the nicotine in cigarettes that a person needs to have it just to feel normal.

Why do people smoke?

Some think it looks cool.
Others start because their family members or friends smoke.
Statistics show that about 9 out of 10 tobacco users start before they're 18 years old.
Most adults who started smoking in their teens never expected to become addicted.
So it's just so much easier to not start smoking at all.
Save yourself the trouble and DON'T START.

How does it affect you, inside?

Smoking has many poisonous substances inside when you take it in and as such
the body goes on the defense when it's being poisoned.
Due to that, first-time smokers often feel pain or burning in the throat and lungs,
and some people feel sick or even throw up the first few times they try tobacco.
