Engine Tear Down

I started to tear down the engine for cleaning, painting, and intake port work possibly. First thing was to remove the upper intake.
For right now, the plan is to gut its inside and smooth it out. Also a nice cleaning is in order.

Here is a picture of the lower intake. It will be "knife edged" ported. Should be fun...NOT!

These are the brown top 35# injectors that came on the 87-88 Turbocoupes. Should do fine for awhile, can't remember the HP limit these will provide fuel for.

Here is a picture of the lower half of the engine block. Major cleaning will be required it looks like. The hose clamps in various places are completely rusty.

Here is the intake ports on the head after removal of the upper and lower intake.

The lower intake and the fuel rail.

Tried to take a close up picture of the intake side valves. Looks like you could eat food off of it don't it?
