A tear falls from my eye, followed by another
Why did you have to leave? Did you want to go?
The answers to these questions, I will never know.
It was the road you decided to take. So I'm told
I'll forever wish you hadn't, yet the choice was yours to make.
I'll never get to hear you speak, hear the laugh of gladness
I never knew your feelings- That was my biggest mistake.
I wish I could?ve prevented this, Somehow kept you alive!
Been with you during your trials, And maybe helped you to survive.
I hope you're in a better place, up above my head.
But I know you?ll never leave us, We'll always feel your love.
You'll always be in our thoughts, As you watch us from your space.
We'll be reunited again one day, I promise, as I did before
