CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

We're actively seeking creative writing submissions. We'll publish excerpts from your self-published books, previously published work, web journals--we're pretty flexible as long as it's good, quality writing. See submission instructions below.

What are you guys, exactly?

Metonymy orginally started as a print magazine in 2000. It came into being when the editors of Theory of Everything decided they had too much good poetry and fiction being submitted to waste in the back pages of a zine. And ta-da, Metonymy Magazine is born. Later we took the magazine online, showcasing a few new poems or stories per issue.

How can I submit?

E-mail all submissions here . Please clearly state "Metonymy Submission" in the subject line. We do not accept submissions or correspondence via snail mail. We like to showcase as much work as possible, but if you don't see your work on the site within 2 months of submitting, we're probably not going to use it. At this time, we cannot pay our writers.

Who built your site?

Actually, no one has ever asked us that. But, it's a combination of hand-coding on good ol' notepad and a template from harpold.com/homepaged.
