~slytherin pride~ and ~irresistible poison~ by rhysenn ~ ever wonder what would have happened if harry had been sorted into slytherin? or what if draco malfoy found himself branded "property of harry potter?" both of these fics explore the harry-draco dynamic - one romantic, one not.

~draco dormiens~ ~draco sinister~ and ~draco veritas~ by cassandra claire ~ so, you've been living under a rock, have you? ^_- possibly the most popular series in the fandom, the draco trilogy blends draco malfoy with the scooby gang, ridiculous trousers, in-jokes and a healthy dose of teen angst. a rollicking, snarky good time is had by all. the third installment in the trilogy is shaping up to be a classic whodunnit.

~the long road to damascus~ by morrighan ~ follow severus snape on his road to redemption. the snape-as-paul analogy has become one of my favorites. a new spin on an oft-told story.

~snitch!~ ~syzygy~ and ~the dark descending series~ by al ~ guy ritchie gangsters, snarky marauders and time traveling hijinks populate these series, which take our heroes into uncharted territory. snitch, in particular, takes canon, chucks it unceremoniously out the hatch and leaves us begging for more. ^_^ feel the au love.

~bryter layter~ and ~three leaves left~ by rave ~ a quintessential mwpp story. oc annika's evolution throughout the action is an intriguing character study.

~a surfeit of curses~ by heidi tandy ~ "once upon a time, but not very long ago, a baby boy was born in a castle." caught between a blessing and a curse, draco malfoy cultivates an unlikely friendship. excellent characterization.

~the more is my unrest~ by jedi boadicea and arabella ~ romeo and juliet are dead.

~i am lord voldemort~ by nemesis ~ possibly the first tom riddle-fic ever.

~in the bleak midwinter~ by morgead ~ ron, creepy powers and pretty, pretty imagery. baby, it's cold outside.

~job hazards~ ~dreamwalkers~ ~memories of tomorrow~ and pretty much everything by jedi boadicea ~ remus, sirius and bill. oh my. oh - and snape, too, of course. jedi b has some excellent original characters as well.

~under a dark star ~ by medusa ~ can't say enough good things about this one. a lovely, unique pov, excellent original characters and just the right amount of suspense.

~the potions master's apprentice~ ~personal risks~ and ~if we survive~ by r.j. anderson ~ alastor moody's niece falls for snape. wait! don't hit that back button. no mary sues here. uh-uh.

~the loo~ by honeychurch and lallybroch ~ an endearing story with a bit of a flawed ending, this fic shines in giving ginny weasley a quirky and sympathetic voice.

~on dry land~ by arabella ~ a nice ginny-introspection piece, with special emphasis on her relationships with the men in her life. though, probably, not the ones you think.

~a certain point of view~ by b bennett ~ our heroes watch star wars. debate ensues.

~an angel comes to babylon~ by flourish ~ in which we meet hermione's dad, angels with attitude and werewolves in need of a bath. ^_-

~dragon dance~ by karina ~ mmm. charlie.

~drawing down the moon~ by khirsah and ailei ~ remus, sirius and dark obsession. a unique take on m, w, p and p.
