MAKING THE LOGIC WORK

WITH THE LOGIC TABLES COMPLETE THE NEXT TASK WAS TO GET THE CIRCUIT DIAGRAMS PUT ON PAPER, FROM THIS THE DESIGN OF THE BASIC CONTROL BOARD COULD BE DEVELOPED.

BRINGING THE TWO TOGETHER

THE FIRST R & D BOARD WAS LAID OUT AND WIRING UP STARTED ONCE THE BOARD WAS WIRED THAN TESTING THE BOARD BEGUN, USEING TEST EQUIPMENT THE LOGIC OF THE BOARD WAS CHECKED AT EVERY STEP OF THE WAY TO MAKE SHORE THE LOGIC WAS CORRECT BEFORE THE SIGNAL WAS PASTED ON TO THE NEXT STAGE.
WITH THIS STAGE COMPLETED THE CONTROL BOARD WAS THAN SOCKED TESTED FOR 168 HOURS OR 7 DAYS 24 HOURS AFTER THIS THE POWER SUPPLY CONTROL SECTION WAS ADD AND FURTHER 168 HOURS TEST WAS CARRIED OUT.

THE FINAL STAGE

WITH ALL THE TESTING BURN IN TEST CARRIED OUT THE FINAL ASSEMBLY THE R & D DLR MK1 CONTROL SYSTEM WAS COMPLETE THE NEXT STAGE WAS TO INSTALL THE SYSTEM AT LONDON TRANSPORT MUSEUM AND RUN THE SYSTEM IN SERVICE FOR A COUPLE OF MOUTH�S TO CHECK THE RELIABILITY FACTOR.
