Many people have claim that Metallica is stupid band. I do not believe that because they have proven themselves many times over that they can adapt to the what the people want to listen to. Metallica will be celebrating their twentieth year together this coming October. This just proves that Metallica has and will remain with us forever.

This is something that I cannot say for other bands. It seems that there are more one-hit-rock wonders than ever. I truly mean it too!! These bands just are in it to get rich quick and dissappear. These bands do not care about their fans. Metallica cares about their fans. They have been known to stay afters concerts and sign each and every single person an autograph.

Through twenty years, nine studio recordings, hundreds probably even thousands of gigs world-wide, seven video cassette releases, a live box-set, and numorous awards Metallica has survived the test of time. They have had their share of downs (The tragic and sudden death of Cliff Burton, and James Hetfield almost being burned alive on stage.) and numorous ups. Metallica has also been able to incorporate many different elements into their music never remaing the same between two albums.

Jason was the bassist for Metallica until he had to quit due to physical and family problems. He has been with the band since Cliff died during a tragic bus accident. Jason's first studio recording with Metallica was "...And Justice For All" in 1988.

Kirk Hammett is the lead guitarist. He has got to be one of the best guitarist that I have ever heard or seen. This guy is just utterly amazing. He is able to go from light and mellow to fast and back to mellow. If you are one of the extremely few that still like Metallica you will probably agree with me.

Lars Ulrich the man that everybody hates (probably except for me) is the drummer for the band. I really do not have to much to say about Lars except that he is the drummer.

Now comes the tall and incredibly talented lead singer and rhythym guitarist himself James Hetfield. This man is pure heart. He always gives his best. Many people claim that James cannot sing but I think that he has a good voice. His voice is one of those voices that if you are listening to the radio, and you do not know the band, but you hear the voice, you will instantly know who it is. His voice is gritty and he can hit all types of notes. He does not sound like anyone else in the music industry.

These five guys (including Cliff-pictured right) made being heavy metal a cool thing. They came out from a time when big hair was in and bands like Poison and the Crüe were on top. (I am not bad mouthing these bands....they were the first ones I thought of). I believe that if it were not for these guys rock music probably would be very different today.

My favorite Metallica song of all time would have to be either "One" from "...And Justice for All" or "Call of Ktulu" from "Ride the Lightning." But if I could just pick only one song from any of their albums....I would not be able to make a choice. It would be impossible for me to choose one.

As of April Metallica should be entering the studio to record their tenth studio recording. I remember hearing James say on either T.V. or I may have heard on 94 WYSP that this album will be heavy and hard but not as fast as their earlier studio albums. So as you can guess I am eagerly anticipating this release.

Also, Metallica will be releasing their box-set of action figures. I have read they will be sold in a four-pack. I have seen pictures and they look extremely good (and pretty realistic). The band's look is from the "...And Justice For All" CD.
