(The following is taken from the Breifing of Operation: Claymore as told by Jared Castle)
Jared gets the remote for the viewer beside him and with a quick hit of a button an image of and island appeared before everybody. "This is operation Claymore a small island off the coast of Scotland." "Unfortunately this is the only image of the Island and it's in the hands of a terrorist organization consisting of rouge KGB agents, and they don't want anybody knowing what they're doing there, but we do."
Jared takes a breath before continuing. "Intel has been trying to get images maps etc. but they can't seem to get past what's jamming our satellites so were going in blind. The only thing that was last recorded about this island is there are several Nuclear Missile Silos on this island and they've been inactive for quite some time, but since the arrival of this organization we do not know if they are fully operational yet."
"We must believe that they are fully operational, and we've been ordered to go in and stop them from launching by any means necessary." "We will be going in by Black Hawk and it will be a bumpy ride high wind and rain frequent this island."
"Intel also said there were no reports of civilian activity, but keep an eye out you may never know." "Possible targets for their attack are Russia, U.S.A., and Britain. We do not know at this time which one of these countries it will be."
Jared then turned off the image of the Island "Solid Snake could you get the lights please."
Jared looks at them all "Any questions?"
Little do any but Jared and Solid Snake realise that this is a training mission to see how well they co-operate within a team environment.
Can the New Fox Hound, meet the expectations of the President? It looks doubtfull as this almost rag tag group head into their first mission, unsure of what lays ahead. |
