The Book Of Mess
Chapter 1
1. And it came to pass that in the summer of the year of our lord 1999 we and our sister Holly Elison decided at a party of hers to put together a collection of independent films and present them unto our bretheren, because we knew that inasmuch as we did this they would be much entertained and our joy would be full.
2. Therefore we did organize ourselves to such a point that we did manage to carry out our plans on the 28th of August in that same year. The day being the day Lucas was "offsprung" into the world.
3. And we did call our labors a "Film Festival". Which we had previously titled beforehand on our flyers that we handed out at the conclusion of the month of June that same year.
4. And the number of our entrees were fifteen. We also had some thing to show to keep our bretheren much entertained.
5. And we did call upon the best film artists in the land to judge our "Film Festival" And to our much surprise they agreed.
6. And it came to pass...the first "Film Festival" that is.
7. And also it came to pass that it became a great interest amongst the people of the land of Kaysville inasmuch as they did plead with us to do another one the following months. Which we most humbly did on three more occasions. The second being the "Halloween Film Festival" where we were able to present unto the people the motion picture "Rest in Peace". On the third occasion is when the world was awakened to the other film "O-llej-jell-O" which was presented the following year on the 28th of January 2000.
