Orphaned and adopted at birth, dark-skinned Mykel Darewing has always retained a very special bond with his adoptive sister, Nya.
As children, they have shared their games, stories and imagination, as teenagers, their dreams and hopes, and as young adults, they now
share their desire to explore space, as well as a very strong attachment to one another.
Mechanically inclined, Mykel works on the Explorer project as both a technician and a pilot. However, whenever he can spare a minute,
he also tries to nurture his fledgling Healer�s Gift.
For now, though, his priorities are to complete his work on Explorer and to help his adoptive sister/girlfriend make the transition
from Princess to Queen of Mankind.
He crosses his fingers that the transition will be a peaceful one, but somehow, he doubts it�
