The Loose Cannon... I've probably heard the saying so many times before, but I first remember conciously noticing it in an interview with JK Rowling. She described her character Sirius as a Loose Cannon when asked if he really did laugh when Lily and James Potter were killed. It's just one of those sayings that really struck me as odd, and I liked the sound of it, so it embroidered itself in my memory.
In early 2006 I realised that I should have a website, because that's just one of the things that people have in this modern era. It's just, I, unlike most of the people I know in real life, wanted to make my own site from scratch, rather than relying on free hosts and pre-made layouts to get me by. In the past I've toyed with images and layouts like no tomorrow, so it was quite a step for me to sit down and actually come up with a layout that was permanent enough so people will recognise it, and yet simple enough for me to edit without driving myself to insanity trying to get it 'just' right.
It's been hard.
