| Hippity-hop and skippity-skip and here I am. I didn't come from very far away. Actually, I came from the Ralph's grocery store over on Long Beach Boulevard. I was sitting on a shelf watching people go by. I wanted to go home with someone, but the right someone never came down my aisle . . . until Ms. Mary came around the corner with her grocery cart. I tell you, it didn't take a "Ready; set; go!" to get me off the shelf into that cart. Quicker than you could say "Happy Easter," I was sitting in the cart telling Ms. Mary I was going home with her. Ms. Mary put up a good resistance. The more she resisted, the louder I insisted. I wore her down. Just look at my face and feel my soft fur. How long could you keep telling me I couldn't go home with you? I am very good. I don't make messes. I am quiet (except for that one time in the store when I sooo wanted to go home with Ms. Mary). I snuggle well. And, you know what? Ms. Mary has thanked me more than once for persuading her to bring me home. We're kind of crazy about each other. Actually, we're really and truly crazy about each other. |
