In this photo you can see the intentional damage done by a neighboring land owner (lower left).  A survey error was made in the 1880s, and in 2003 when a surveyor pointed it out to him he moved the fenceposts and plowed under 30 feet of the cemetery and planted corn.  This was in preparation to sell it to a land developer.  When the damage was recognized, the county attorney was called in and the land owner was required to make reparations. 
The efforts of the people in the Greenbush/ Princeton community should be applauded.  After the corn was cleared the members of the community carefully searched the area for headstones, casket, or human remains.  None were found.

1
