She felt as if she were moving through quicksand she couldn't get over to Paige quick enough and she saw everything with crystal clarity.Marie had lept off the couch and was tearing(not biting) at Paiges throat and yet Paige had a look of peace as this thing,that is what Marie seemed to be,bled her life away. Mercedes passed a table which taped underneath was Paige's PT-940B encased in it were 11 bullets, cut in the top of each were crosses ,that were filled to the tip with mercury and holy water and sealed with wax.Mercedes never questioned Paige on the gun she knew Paige had it for her "just incase" and it hurt her a little to think that her sister did not trust her, but she completely understood nor did she question Paige on where the bullets came from or if they really worked, she always hoped they didn't. She grabbed the gun as she went passed, took aim and hoped for the first time that the bullets really did worked. She aimed at Marie and fired 5 times.The bullets tore into Marie's spine as she was bent over Paige,who had gone slack now ,Marie at first acted as if nothing had happened then she let out a horrendous scream and disappeared into the shadows.Mercedes ran to Paige's side and looked at her ashen face and the wound on her throat which was beginning to close.Mercedes knew that there would be no tell tale sign as to how Paige died.NO, that was not going to happen! She still heard the faintest beats of Paige's dying heart and did the only thing that she new to do. She was not yet strong enough to pass the charms with which adorned Paiges neck, so she used Paiges left hand to grab at the cross and GrisGris. Once they were gone Mercedes looked at her sister with tear-filled eyes and said "Forgive me Mother",Mercedes lowered her head to Paige's throat and bit into it draining her of the rest of her blood she then reached up with her fingernail made a slice across her own heart and lifted Paige's head to it. At first nothng seemed to happen .Mercedes was not sure she had done this right if Paige did not wake she would use the last 6 bullets for herself. Just as she was about to give up hope she felt the first movements as Paige began to drink from her, the feeling was sheer euphoria as Mercedes life force poured into Paige,but Mercedes jerked Paige away to make her stop. She knew instinctively Paige would drain her if she did not force her to stop. She jerked Paige's head back but nothing showed , no life nothing just a blood ring around her mouth, Mercedes remembered how she woke so she took Paige to the exact same little shack in the swamp and placed her in the same pit, then Mercedes sat back and waited .......
Though the lose of Paige hurt her deeply she knew there were things she must do still, and soon that Paige would be with her. So she went to Corte' ,at first she was going to just torment and humiliate him but now she had a new plan. Corte' was sitting in his living room when she walked in, Mercedes thought how proud Paige would be at what she was about to do to this man, Paige had always said Mercedes was to shy, she glided gracefully over to Corte' who had started at seeing her and kissed him with all the passion she had held within her for 7 long years.Corte's wife walked in and saw the two kissing , Corte never saw his wife enter as she came in the back way but Mercedes did. She saw the look of utter horror, disbelief, rage , pain and revenge all cross the woman�s face. This made Mercedes' hunger grow into a raging fire. She leaned into Corte' making sure she pressed her body firmly into the full erection he now had and whispered to him not just so he could hear, but his wife also. "You will leave and be with me as it was meant to be now won' you? Corte'" .She was not asking but telling him . |
