1. S.C.B. Medical College, Cuttack-753007.

2. V.S.S Medical College, Burla (Sambalpur) - 76004.

3. M.K.C.G. Medical College, Berhampur (Ganjam) - 760004.

A joint entrance examination for admission to the first year P.G course for the above three medical colleges in the State is held by the P.G. Selection Board Convenor Medical College. 25% of the total seats in the three colleges are filled through All India Entrance Test held by AIIMS, New Delhi. The common details for these colleges are given hereunder,.

Domicile bar : Candidates belonging to the following categories are eligible : Permanent residents of Orissa; Candidates coming from outlying oriya speaking areas which have been merged in other neighbouring States due to settlement of boundaries of the States and who can read, write and speak Oriya; Children of the employees of the State Govt. Serving within or outside the State, employees of the University in Orissa, member of the All India Service belonging to the State Cadre whether posted inside or outside the State of Orissa; Indian employees of the UNICEF who are serving in the State at the time of application employees of Govt. of India or Staate Govt. undertakings in Orissa who are in continuous service in Orissa for a period not less than two years at the time of application provided such candidates have read at least for two years in any of the colleges of Orissa of the qualifying exam; non domiciled candidates who have studied for at least 8 years n Orissa and have passed the matriculation or an equivalent exam of the Board of Secondary Educationk Orissa and the qualying exam and whose parents have migrated from pakistan or Central Govt. servants who are posted in other States, but after their retirement have taken up residentship in orissa are also eligible. Candidates who have studied for 10 years in the educational institutions in the State and have passed the Matriculation/H.S.C. and the qualifying exam are also eligible.

Method of Selection : The selection of candidates is made through a Joint Competitive Entrance Examination of multiple choice questions held simultaneously at the three Medical Colleges of the State on a date and time intimated in the Admit Card sent to the candidates by the convenor. If consists of 2 parts. Part I contains 150 MCQ’s for Basic Sciences to be answered in 2 hours whereas Part II contains 150 MCQ’s from clinical sciences.

How to Apply : Prescribed application form together with the prospectus and other requisite forms may be obtained from the Principal of any of the above three Medical Colleges of Orissa on payment of Rs. 10/- either personally or by remitting the said amount through money order and sending a written application on plain paper by post along with the money order receipt in support of remittance of the aforesaid amount together with a self-addressed envelope of the size 14"x5" duly affixing postage stamps worth Rs. 8/- if application form is required by registered post or Rs. 2/- in case of ordinary post.

Last Date : Applications complete in all respects the convenor, P.G. Selection Board generally by the 10th June of the year of admission.
