Another great founder of Urdu poetry, Khwaja Mir Dard is buried in the area not far from Turkman Gate, in a mound showing traces of several graves. 
In one big circle, there are traces of three tombs. One of these is believed to be the tomb of Mir Dard.

His memory is perpetuated by a road named after him and running right through the campus.
