Instant Japanese Classic! Final Fantasy VII has always been one of my favorite video games, but I heard rumors of it becoming a CG movie, I freaked. My first thought was "you're shitting me!" Well, after doing research, the rumor was true. A movie was made in Japan for the ever-so popular and loved game and now, because of a christmas gift from my best friend, I own it.
It is something else! It's based two after the battle with Sephiroth. Most of the original characters are in it with glimps of Aeris here and there, along with several new characters. Kadaj, the one with the love for Mother (Jenova), is the leader of the gang. Yazoo is a bit on the quiet side, we don't usually hear much from him. And Loz seems to be the big tough guy, but really, he's a pussy.
The story picks up where an illness has pleagued the planet, making life misrible for all. Cloud has gone off on his own and left Denzel, Marleen, and Tifa on their own at the Seventh Heaven bar. While traveling, Cloud is confronted by Loz and Yazoo, two of the members of Kadaj's gang, looking for Mother (Jenova's Head). After a bit of a bike fight, Cloud heads off to Healin to meet with the president of Shinra. As the story prgresses, Cloud is force to open himself up to the people around him in order to help them out.
