Guru Nanak eye centre was conceived to provide super specialised Eye Health care to the people of Various State of Society. Eye OPD was constructed to provide 185 beds for in - patient department.

Guru Nanak Eye centre, deptt. Of Ophathlmology, under Maulana Azad Medical College provides teaching & training facility to graduate and post graduate students on ophthalmology. Every year batch of MBBS students is taught. Around 30 post graduate students work in GNEV. There works involved clinical, research and teaching.

To provide increasingly better services, construction of phase - iii has been proposed which is likely to completed by December, 1999. It comprised of three floors and proposed to provide following :
Space for operation theatre complex
48 beded special (paid wards.)
Well equipped kitchen for cooking food for the inmates.
Conference room.
Convered passage linking phase I, II & III to provide ease in transportion of patient to and from various blocks during inclement weather.
Library with documentation centre.
Research wing with academic section.
Record Room.
Services like Electrical Civil, Air - Conditioning maintenance, gas store , stores cafeteria for patients.
It is also informed that hospital has got two parkings one is at OPD Block and another is at Ward & O. T. Block Both the parking places are available to park Cars Scooter and Cycles at a nominal charges.
