| Rakka is the main character of haibane-renmei. The series opens with her having a dream about falling.A crow tries to save her but she tells it 'Thankyou, but it is no use'. So she is named 'Rakka' by Reki. Rakka is a rather shy and quiet girl. She often thinks that she should have been a normal girl instead of a haibane. she has a strange but strong connection towards crows, but doesn't realise why until late in the series. Rakka is a worrier, and worries too much about what she does. Shes also one not to just let things go. She builds up complicated webs of questions, in fact Rakka is pretty much the viewers voice in the series. About half way through the series, Rakka becomes lonely and wants to 'disappear'. She gets emotinally unstable and depressed. |
