Membership

Mentone Horse Riders Club is affiliated with   The Horse Riding Clubs Association of Victoria  (HRCAV).  HRCAV is made up of over 170 Clubs with over 4000 individual members spread across Victoria and parts of NSW. Our members come from a variety of backgrounds including:

• novice riders who enjoy the support and camaraderie offered by their fellow members 
• families who want to enjoy riding together
• competitors of all levels who can ride against others of similar ability in HRCAV events around the state 

Membership

Membership of Mentone Horse Riders Club commences on 1st November annually.   Membership includes 10 rallies per annum. We do not charge a separate fee for rallies like some clubs.  Members also receive a monthly newsletter.

Rallies

Our rallies are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month.   We generally start at 9.30 am with 2 flat work lessons running concurrently throughout the morning.  Around 12.30 pm we break for lunch. There is a canteen with Rod supplying the best hamburgers in the Southern hemisphere.

In the afternoon there are 2 jumping class, one for less experienced and one for the more advanced.  A lot of people ride in the morning only however it is totally up to yourself.  Nothing is forced on you.  After all, we are adults!!!!  You can ride for fun or to gain that competitive edge for the next competition.  As a bonus you can make some wonderful friends.
