Barnstoneworth Athletic had to dig deep in the first round of the "B" Division Orange All Age soccer competition on Saturday against Kinross 2, salvaging a 3-3 draw. Kinross opened the scoring with a lovely goal and headed for the oranges at half time with a 1-0 lead. Kinross were able to add to their score on two further occasions in the second half, and were leading 3-0 with only 15 minutes of play remaining.

With the clock ticking down, Athletic were spurred on by some vintage play from skipper Chris Jacobs. Jacobs managed to score twice in the dying minutes with Adam Bourke providing the equaliser with minutes to spare. Athletic were particularly pleased with the performance of the Ag College trio known only as Yi, Johnny and Ashley. Ray Selmes also provided valuable guidance to the junior players whilst directing traffic from the goal mouth.
