THE SCORING SYSTEM
The scoring in reviews will work like this. There will be an explanation for each factor, and a little bit of text to go with the score that sums the game up. Each of the things like Sound is out of 10, and the main score out of 10 with one decimal. Here's an example of the scoring in a review. I'll use MGS 2:Substance for the Xbox as the example.

Graphics: 9/10
Super-sharp visuals on the character models, but some textures are dated. Runs at a splendid 60 fps but there's framerate issues in the rain or when there's lots of explosions on-screen.

Sound: 8/10
The music is brilliantly composed, but the guns sound seriously crap and some voice acting is iffy, particularly Raiden's.

Gameplay: 10/10
Lots of fresh techniques to use, like hanging and First-Person View, this is one polished game.

Lifespan: 10/10
The main game isn't that long but you'll want to play it again, and the 300+ VR missions will keep you coming back to beat high scores and times.

Overall Score: 9.7/10
An amazing game is now even better with lots of VR missions to keep you occupied.

So that's how the scores work. Please note that the overall score is NOT an average.
