| There is no such thing as a 'girly' hair style. Whatever you think is right for you IS right for you. 'Normal' hair just means socially fashionable hair. As long as you have the strength of character to rise above others small views of what other peoples hair means to them - you choose whatever style you want. There are no wrong decisions here. You've already broken the 'norm' boundaries of what is 'male' - no point in stopping now. You make what is normal - no-one else. Wearing your hair long and loose is great - especially for the health of your hair - but for those occassions where you need to tie it back a bit it's good to use variety. One of the common myths is that men with long hair don't care about their appearance - styling your hair breaks that myth down in one fell swoop. If you're asked to cut your hair for a job, offer to style it instead. Hair does not affect job performance and an offer to style it may dissipate any worries that long hair equals messy hair. |
