At the hospital:
Kevin kept pacing the hospital halls his mind reeling over and over,"Where the hell can Nick be? His bestfriend is in the hospital and is gonna die! I can't believe he would abandon his bestfriend especially at a time like this!!!" As Kevin kept thinking this,he felt tears well up in his emerald green eyes. He promised himself he wouldn't cry,though he found it hard to keep that promise. The tears started flowing non stop and a sob escaped from his mouth. A.J. and Howies heads turned quickly from across the room.,they laid their eyes on eachother in shock,they had never seen there older brother cry before. They qickly rushed over to the older man,to show their support. A.J. spoke,"Kev, what's wrong man? Tell us!" All Kevin could do was sob as the thoughts of his youngest cousin ran through his head over and over. He remembered all the good times: basketball games in the park, family reunions, the church choir practices,and being in BSB with him. And then he remembered all the bad times: Brian almost losing his life at the age of five, Kevin's father dying, his first breakup with his girlfriend, Brian's first heart surgery, and remebered all the times Brian had been there for him. Kevin felt guilty for not being able to be there for his cousin in his time of need. After a few moments his sobs subsided,A.J. and Howie pulled him into a hug.After a few minutes of hugging, A.J. asked Kevin again,"Man,you scared us,are you okay?" All Kevin could reply was,"Bri...Brian," as the tears threatened to fall from his eyes. Howie pulled him into another hug as he whispered words of comfort in his ear," Train, Brian is going to be alright. He has proved the doctors wrong so many times before. We are all here for both of you and Brian,bro." Kevin then looked at Howie,anger in his eyes," Then where the hell is Brian's supposed to be bestfriend?? Nick was the last person I ever thought would run away from his bestfriend in his time of need. He just doesn't care. Brian would give his life for Nick,and all Nick does is run away and says that he doesn't want to see him because he is going to die. Can you imagine how upset Brian is going to be when he finds out the one person he can depend on has left him? He is going to be heartbroken!!!"With those words said,Kevin stormed off towards the elevators leaving Howie and A.J. in shock. "We have to find Nick, Howie,Kev is right, Brian is going to be upset and we can't risk it. His heart is weak as it is. We can't upset him," A.J. said. "I know man, lets go to the nurses station and tell them to call us on our cell phones if anything happens to Brian while we are gone and we can go find Nick. I just hope he's okay,it's really cold and rainy outside"
