As I countinued to walk up and down the streets my mind drifted towards my bestfriend. I remembered the first day I met Brian. The shy 18 year old country boy from Kentucky with a strong southern accent and blond hair and the friendliness blue eyes I had ever seen. My thoughts then traveled to the time when Brian had his heart surgery and I couldn't be there to comfort him.I felt terrible then and hated myself for saying those words to my bestfriends cousin,but I was mad at everyone when I heard what the doctor had said about Brian. I felt it would be better not to get close to Brian before he died because it would make it easier to say goodbye when the time came. I didn't realize until then that the wetness tracking down my cheeks were just not my tears of anger and pain,but also the cold unforgiving rain that had again started falling from the heavens. As my thoughts again traveled to my bestfriend who was lying in a hospital bed miles away, I collapsed on the side walk from exhaustion and sickness from the exposure the cold. Hoping that the other guys would somehow find me,soon.
