The young boy looked at his father,as tears fell from his eyes. "Daddy?"his voice was tiny as he spoke. Jerald shut his eyes tightly,as he felt Ann's hand on his shoulder.She took a deep breath,tears falling from her own eyes. "I'll let you talk to him alone," she said.Jerald nodded, "How do I do this?" he said,tears falling from his eyes. "It will be ok honey,"she said,as she leaned down and kissed him lightly. She walked out of the waiting room. Jerald hung his head low, but patted the seat next to him,inviting Kevin over. Kevin slowly walked over to his father, and sat down next to his father. Jerald bit his lower lip, as tears fell from his eyes. He quickly wiped away the tears. "Cancer's bad right?" The tiny voice of the young boy asked. Jerald drew a deep breath,his hand moved across to Kevins hand,grasping it tightly in his. He nodded his head slighly."Sometimes it's serious,but people go to the doctor, and the doctor gives them medicine to get better," Jerald said, as he breathed a sigh of relief. "Is your's bad?" Kevin asked, as tears fell from his eyes. Jerald shut his eyes, quickly reopening them, "Kevin...I'm going to be fine, like I said, the doctor is going to give me medicine to get better,okay?" He said,trying his hardest to hold back tears. Tears welled up in his eyes,"Come here" he said, pulling Kevin into his embrace. The father and son embraced together, hugging eachother tightly,sobbing. "I...I..I love you daddy" Kevin sobbed. Jerald hugged his son tighter in his arms, "I...I love you too son." Jerald said,tears falling from his eyes. Jerald's eyes shot open, his eyes wide with fear, his breathing quickened. Pain shot through his lower back, as a sob of pain escaped from his mouth. Kevin looked up at his father, "Daddy?" His tiny voice asked. Jerald moaned in pain. "Daddy, what's wrong?" Kevin asked, fear growing inside his little body. Jerald cried out, as the pain grew intense. "G...go get you m...mother..."he choked out. Kevin ran out of the room, frantically looking for his mother.
