The Calm After the Storm
Rain and wind, dashing  through puddles and water to get to the car, which felt more like a boat... But when I walked outside tonight, it was calm...the rain had subsided, and all was still...the sky was all different shades of gray and orange...and I knew that all was well with the world...at that moment
Alex, Alisha and Melissa to the rescue!
Hi Megan!  Talking on her cool, red cell phone, looking happy as if nothing ever happened...Last night she sang part of a song they're doing in Chorus, "Blue Skies, shinin' on me, nothing but blue skies..."  ife does come full circle, in every which way.
...outside in the early evening, the calm after the storm...
Floyd Salas after our creative writing class with one of his drawings -- "This moment is unique -- it has never happened before and will never happen again!" he says.
...even when it's raining, there's always a rainbow...
I took the above rainbow pictures while sitting in my car waiting for the light to change -- with my cell phone camera!
Megan has mastered the art of taking pictures of herself (and me) with the cell phone camera!
My sister Jennifer had a birthday on April 10th (she might not like it if I tell you how old she is, so I'd better not -- she is younger than me, though!)  In honor of her b-day, I found some old pictures of us when we were young... Above, Jennifer and I are ON TOP OF THE WORLD!!!  Literally -- we're sitting at the very top of Mt. Tamalpias (north of San Francisco in Marin County) in around 1974 I think...
Sitting on top of the world...!!!
My sister Jennifer and me, around 1973 at home in San Francisco  (16 and 13 I think...)

Happy Easter!  Megan wears Aaron's bunny ears at the coffee shop on Saturday.
Megan and Aaron, who reclaimed his rabbit ears...
One glorious blue sky, spring day outside the workplace, the day after the "calm" evening...before more rain clouds drifted in late in the evening....(not bad for cell phone pictures)
Me at my desk at work hoping for more spring-like days, even though the rain does have its own charm
some Canada geese action on the one sunny day...(taken with cell phone camera
<sing> Two of us wearing raincoats standing solo in the sun...
A good time to hang with the Beatles!
100 Years ago today (April 18, 1906)...San Francisco and the surrounding area and all of its people suffered through a huge earthquake and fires...Today, in spite of it all, San Francisco lives!
