| There were not many photoes that survived from my teen years. They nearly all were destroyed in a fire at my parents home. The one to the right is one of a very few. Not that high school was anything ourstanding for me it was one of the more happy times in my life. I was in band, chorus, and on the yearbook staff. I did a lot of the informal photography for the yearbook. I graduated in 1959 with the intent of going to teachers college. That never matertalized. My Parents told me they did not have enough money to pay my tuition. Discouraged I followed the trend my boy friend took, I joined the Navy. I thought Just maybe with my flying experience I could get something along that line. There too I was disapointed. Ended up in Git-mo bay carrying papers ship to shore and back to ship. No fun. Most were top secret and I have a guard with me at all times. I left the service in 1962. |
