I felt the site started out sad;
melancholy and awkward, two lovers sitting together in a darkened
room, not looking at each other. They haven't been together since he left
for the war, and so much time has passed and so many things have changed.
Perhaps the pictures are flashbacks for him, or her trying to picture
where he's coming from. She's trying to reassure or justify things for
him, but she still doesn't look at him. Someone voices what they're
feeling, that things have changed ("my mother told me that you could
change") and someone is reassured ("All guys change don't worry. I'll help
you"). She cheated on him with her neighbor, but only once. She feels he
should understand, but she feels the need to tell him not to kill him. She
asks for his forgiveness and they move on. He doesn't feel anyone can
understand or love him because of what he's been through. They end up
deciding to get married, and are happy.
